Enoch Ministries is a Christian based program
that began as a passion to share with others
the many blessings and opportunities that
many have not had.
Leigh Ellen’s passions for
children, especially underprivileged and/or
abused, led her to construct Enoch Ministries.
The facility is being built and hopes to open its
doors in 2007.  This non- profit program has
many facets.  With the use of Equine Assisted
Psychotherapy, Art Therapy and Play Therapy
we expect great beginnings to come forth.

Horses offer freedom and encourage
individuality.  They not only love
unconditionally, but without bias , prejudice or
condemnation. They give children the chance
to explore who they are while learning the
responsibility of caring for an animal. Horses
have an unconditional love and a gentle nature
that soothes the soul and allows  individuals to
experience freedom.  Inspired by the
submission of these powerful animals,
individuals will begin to build trust and
understand how to set rules and boundaries
that will create more respectful relationships,
not just with the animals, but with people as
well.

This
facility will consist of a main barn, covered
riding hall, outdoor ring, art building for the
labs, shed for farm equipment, a cross country
and stadium course, and about 100 acres
fenced.  In the main barn there will be ten
indoor stalls, wash area, feed, tack, laundry
room, play therapy rooms, and office spaces.
We are actively trying to raise money for this
facility to be built and all donations are tax
deductible.

With your help and prayers, this dream can
become a reality for many.  For more
information on how you can help please

To Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP)

EAP is an experiential modality of mental
health treatment that involves setting up
activities with intent and purpose. Verbal and
Non-verbal communication, assertiveness,
creative thinking and problem-solving,
leadership, work, taking responsibility,
teamwork, relationships, confidence, and
attitude, are several examples of the tools
utilized and developed in EAP sessions. EAP is
an effective therapeutic approach that impacts
individuals, youth, families, and groups with a
variety of mental health and human
development needs, such as behavioral issues,
ADD, substance abuse, eating disorders, abuse
issues, depression, anxiety, relationship
problems and communication needs.

It is a collaborative treatment team of a
mental health professional, horse professional,
and the horse. Together they provide an
emotionally and physically safe environment
wherein a client can grow, learn, and heal
experientially in the process.
